Space Station 14 is an online text-based roleplaying game set in space. Each shift is a self-contained 1-3 hour experience of the titular station's demise. You control a single character working on the station; a cog in the machine. The combination of the roleplaying setup and the deep simulationism and interconnected game systems form an experience that's hard to draw comparisons to anywhere else. The best summary has been that it's like a colony sim like Dwarf Fortress or RimWorld had a single player controlling each inhabitant.

Much like traditional roleplaying games, there are dozens of different interpretations, versions, and house rules. Nyanotrasen is one of the most popular. Nyano's setting is a tonal shift towards the weird fiction, dying earth, esoteric end of the science fiction spectrum. In specifics, this means psionics, anachronisms, familiar things that defy expectations, and unfamiliar things that become banal. The social deduction aspect is much more about hiding in plain sight than out of sight. You'll have to use your brain, whether that's processing all the chaos around you or literally using your mind to perform some psionic miracle.
